Thermobium by Innofibre
Innofibre is a key player in the bioeconomy, biomass valorization and the recovery of residual resources. Through its diverse and multidisciplinary team, Innofibre supports organizations in developing innovative solutions and products.
Its mission is to advance the forest products sector, develop alternatives to synthetic chemicals, create barrier products, help reduce residual materials, and develop alternatives to fossil fuel combustion, while contributing to the emergence of solutions to today’s environmental challenges.
Centre de métallurgie du Québec (CMQ)
Founded in 1985, the Centre de métallurgie du Québec (CMQ) is a College Centre for the Transfer of Technologies (CCTT) affiliated with Cégep de Trois-Rivières. Its mission is to support the competitiveness of the metallurgical industry through research and technological development, using a collaborative approach involving both private- and public-sector partners, while supporting technical college education and knowledge transfer to industry.
Its team of experts works on the design and optimization of products, manufacturing and transformation processes, as well as the adaptation of production activities. The solutions developed also take into account sustainable development and the energy transition, providing practical responses to the evolving needs of industry.
Hydrogen Research Institute (HRI)
Founded in 1994, the Hydrogen Research Institute (HRI) at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières is a multidisciplinary research centre dedicated to the energy transition and the development of sustainable energy technologies.
Its research activities include hydrogen production, conversion and use, energy materials and processes, smart mobility and transportation decarbonization, as well as smart grids and renewable energy management.
With its research infrastructure and specialized equipment, the HRI contributes to the development and testing of technologies related to fuel cells, electrolyzers and hydrogen storage systems, while fostering collaboration between academia and industry.
CIPP by Innofibre
The Integrated Pulp and Paper Centre (CIPP) houses the pilot facilities of Innofibre – Cellulosic Product Innovation Centre, a technology transfer centre affiliated with Cégep de Trois-Rivières.
Innofibre supports companies in accelerating the technological development of their bioprocesses and bioproducts through applied research expertise and pilot facilities that are unique in North America. Its activities include pulp and paper, cellulosic packaging, decarbonization, biorefining, and the development of bio-based products and materials.
Its facilities support projects at various scales, from laboratory research to pilot testing, to develop, test and scale up new processes and products that contribute to the bioeconomy and the transition toward a more sustainable industry.
Come discover the Pellerin-Marmen Pavilion, a unique applied research facility in Quebec dedicated to green and sustainable technologies. This visit will give you the opportunity to explore the building’s distinctive features, with a particular focus on its energy-related characteristics.
You’ll get a firsthand look at some of its key components and learn more about the technological choices that shape the facility.
Please note: As the building is still under construction, safety boots and a hard hat are required. For participants who do not have their own safety equipment, protective shoe covers and hard hats will be available on site.
