Industrial visits - Trois-Rivières
On October 3, following the 2 days of Hyvolution Canada, take part in industrial visits to Trois-RIvières and Bécancour.

To round off this first edition of Hyvolution Canada, several industrial tours will be offered on October 3. As the companies opening their doors have limited capacity, we ask you to register for the tour you wish to take. You'll find the registration form at the bottom of the page.

Innofibre is a key player in the bioeconomy, the valorization of biomass and residual resources. Thanks to their diversified, multidisciplinary team, they provide support for the development of innovative products and solutions. Their mission: to develop the forest products sector, develop alternatives to synthetic chemicals, develop barrier products, contribute to the reduction of residual matter and valorize alternatives to fossil fuel combustion, while contributing to the emergence of solutions to the environmental challenges of our time.
10:30am: Tour of the Centre de métallurgie du Québec (CMQ)
Created in 1985, the Centre de métallurgie du Québec (CMQ) is a college technology transfer center (CCTT) integrated into the Cégep de Trois-Rivières. Its mission is to support the competitiveness of the metallurgical industry through research and technological development in a collaborative approach involving private and public partners, while supporting technical education at college level and the transfer of knowledge to companies.Our team of experts is involved in the design and optimization of manufacturing and processing products/processes, as well as in the adaptation of production activities, while considering sustainable development and energy transition aspects in the concrete solutions proposed.

8:30am: Visit to the Institut de recherche sur l'Hydrogène (IRH) and the Institut d'Innovations en Écomatériaux, Écoproduits et Écoénergie (I2E3)
The Institut de recherche sur l'hydrogène (IRH) at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) was founded in 1994. It is one of the leaders in hydrogen research in Canada. Our mission is to promote science and technology for a sustainable energy system using hydrogen, particularly in the fields of storage, safety and utilization. IRH is a multi-disciplinary team of over 60 people, well instrumented in the characterization and synthesis of nanoporous materials and hydrides, and in the evaluation of fuel cells, combustion engines and renewable energy systems.
The Institut d'innovations en écomatériaux, écoproduits, écoénergies is a research unit dedicated to developing research and training graduate students in a multidisciplinary context. To this end, methodologies and experimental approaches specific to several disciplines and different researchers are put to good use in the pursuit of collective objectives defined according to skills, available resources and disciplinary developments.
In this context, the I2E3 has developed a structure that enables it to contribute both to the priority research objectives of the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and to the training of post-graduate students.
10:30 am: Visit to the Centre Intégré de pâtes et papier (CIPP) by Innofibre
Since 1989, the Innofibre team has been sharing its expertise in pulp and paper and cellulose products with local, national and international customers.
Innofibre is recognized by the pulp and paper industry for its quality service, flexibility, access to its team of experts and for its equipment, which is unique in North America.
Innofibre hosted the NSERC College Industrial Research Chair in Ecodesign for the Circular Economy of Thermoformed Cellulose Packaging Materials.
